What We’re Doing

What We're DoingWe like to keep busy at Citygate. So instead of just working on one documentary, we’re juggling five. Yep, we’re crazy. But we love it. In October 2008, we began production on one feature-length documentary about human rights in Pakistan. (More details to come at the appropriate time.) In March 2009, we started shooting a short documentary about recent relief efforts in Burma/Myanmar following 2008’s devastating Cyclone Nargis. In April, we went into post-production on the Burmese piece and then began shooting a documentary about the history of American spirituals–both the history of this musical form and its social justice roots. We have three other films percolating in development, too. We have no shortage of good ideas. We just don’t get much sleep!

  • Dear Carolyn,
I got to learn about you from Visual Story Network(VSN). As i was surfing your web site i read about the documentary on Pakistani subject . I would like to offer my help in case if you want to shoot the Pakistani B roll or reenactment in Hyderabad, India. Hyderabad is the perfect place to give it a look of Pakistan as a good 50% part of the city is covered by muslims and it is much peace full compare to Pakistan. Few years back i shot at Hyderabad few B rolls and reenactment sequence for CBN International depicting as Afghanistan. I presently reside in the city of Hyderabad from last 10 years. Please go through my profile on VSN and to my web page.
Hope i can be any help to you at this part of the world.
