Launching the Logo
Though we’ve begun production on two films already, the first project that we have completed is the logo.
Designer Matt Wahl chose green because it represents perseverance, patience, growth and healing–all key elements in the “filmanthropy” concept of Citygate Films. “The focus of this logo is the shape of the burst because it mimics a camera iris,” he said. “The ‘leaves’ are olive leaves (representing God’s mercy on humanity, according to a symbols dictionary). The concept behind the dot colors being switched is the idea of dialogue or the exchange of ideas–the connection of two things that affect each other.”
Crew members are already asking for coffee mugs and T-shirts with the new logo. We’ll keep you posted if the merchandise becomes available!

I really like the logo! Well done and interesting to hear the symbology (if that’s a word).
