Conch fisherman
The conch is the tourist symbol of the Bahamas. We saw it everywhere during our shoot there in June, 2009–from the famous shells to the ubiquitous conch salad. Decaying conch shells also have their own special scent. That, however, didn’t stop us from consuming conch fritters, cracked conch, conch salad, and more. Not even when we filmed live conch slithering out of their shells, a very special sight.
